Driver Requirements:

These are the minimum Blantyre Merchants Logistics requirements. The decision as to whether a driver can be qualified based on his/her criminal record will be made by Blantyre Merchants Logistics at its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis.

• 23 years of age or older
• 1 year of verifiable over the Road (ORT) experience within the last three years or 3 years of verifiable OTR experience within the last 10 years operating the same type of equipment that will be used under Blantyre Merchants Logistics authority.
• Possession of valid commercial drivers license - (class A CDL)
• No suspensions or revocations of more than 30 days for moving violations within the 36 months prior to the start date.
• No record of a DUI in a personal vehicle within the 36 months prior to the start date.
• No record of a DUI ever in a commercial vehicle
• No more than 4 moving violations within the prior 36 months
• No more than 2 preventable accidents within the prior 36 months
• No more than 2 preventable accidents and 3 moving violations within the prior 36 months,
• No more than 1 preventable accident and 3 moving violations within the prior 36 months
• Able to pass D.O.T physical and Drug Screen
• Never tested positives for drug or alcohol use while working for previous employers or lease carriers
• No record of refusal to take a drug or alcohol test provided for by implied consent or similar law.

To become a contract carrier for Blantyre Merchants Logistics, please provide the following:

1. Copy of the carrier's Federal Operating Authority. This will be a certificate or permit for contract or common carrier authority showing the carrier's MC number and legal company name .If the carrier has re-entitled, Blantyre Merchants Logistics will need both the original and entitlement authorities.
2. Copy of current insurance certificate showing minimum coverage amounts per Blantyre Merchants Logistics. Please provide a copy of the carrier's current insurance certificate with the carrier's company name (must match the name on the Federal Operating Authority) and current address.
3. Please provide us with your name, address, phone numbers and Fax, and Federal Tax I.D. or social security number.
4. Once we receive the above information, we will issue a Blantyre Merchants Logistics account number to you and send you A Blantyre Merchants Logistics Procedures and Guidelines Manual and any appropriate contract documentation please write your account number on all future correspondence.
